Recently I noticed that my driver side window on my 2011 STI stopped auto rolling when I pull or push the button down extra, the button still feels like it has two levels so it doesn't seem broken so I think it might be a relay or something.

my question is when I take the car in for warranty work should I flash my car back to stock even though I am going in for something different? I am at Stage 1 with the cobb port, it will probably be a good precaution anyways correct?

Dont even say anything about the cobb.. just bring it in and say the windows not working right.

Did you recently disconnect your battery?

You can try resetting it

1. Close the driver’s door.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position.

3. Open the driver’s side window halfway by pushing down the power window switch.

4. Pull up the power window switch and close the window completely. Continue pulling up the switch for approximately 1 second after

It's in the owners manual on page 2-24

I know this is an old post but thanks, i started getting worried after my latest install but this method fixed the window issue

Thank you very much for this instructions; I recently installed the OEM kicker subwoofer on my 2013 STI; disconnected the battery and my driver's window did not wanted to go up. Just did this and it works fine now.

This worked for my 2017 WRX Limited!
I disconnected the battery to take apart the dash and side panels to install Footwell Illumination.
The next day, the passenger, front window wouldn't roll down from the driver's side switch, but would operate normally from the passenger door switch.
After fretting for a few minutes about taking it in for warranty replacement, I decided to give Google a go. Low & behold, it is a thing!
An Outback forum recommended to roll down and back up, holding the switch in the up position for 10 seconds, from the passenger side switch. That instantly fixed the drivers side switch, for the passenger, front window.

Then I figured out that while the driver's window would roll up & down, the AUTO UP / DOWN feature was capoot. The same procedure, as above, fixed this, as well.

Thanks, for posting this tip!
